I am still thinking over the movie,..The Incredibles. One thing, that I REALLY noticed about that movie, was the fact that the two children in the movie were but pale shadows of what they really could be until their parents allowed them to be who they really were..i..e..a girl, who could create force fields and become invisible,,..and a boy,..who could run so fast that he could literally walk on water. Forced to pose as ordinary people,..these two were miserable and could only settle for the short end of the stick..girl..ie..becoming invisible when she is embaressed, and boy..i..e...putting tacks on his teacher's seat faster than even film could catch him.

Only when Mrs. I-Man allowed her family to use their natural gifts in the proper context did the children blossom and bloom and grow into people,.who could present themselves to the world and to society,..as fully rounded and developed individuals. I had to laugh at the I-Man within the context of the insurance company...(my son had told me about how I-Man was sneaking "info" to the "granny,"..who had to collect on her policy!!)

Poor I-Man could only keep on doing good even though he was told that helping folks get their due from the company was "bad." I think that the I-Man was only following his true nature. People are consistant that way. This is one thing that I have learned in my lifetime. People develop different behaviors and stick with them. I have seen this online and offline and in my family and in myself. I am no great expert on this subject and I don't pretend to be the final word on anything.

Yet, forced as I am to be a "side-liner" to certain groups in life,..both online and off-line,...I have noticed certain behaviors which keep popping up again and again and again. I have also noticed that no matter how many times that one tells the absolute truth to certain people...if those people DON'T want to believe you..there is no way in HELL that you can convince those folks that you really ARE telling the truth!!

Heh! There are even certain types,..who will invent their own "version" of truth of what you have told as truth and know it to be true because you have lived it... in order to achieve their agendas and goals. Groan! But that IS life.

The "I-Man" family finally achieved "stability" and "fullfilment of personal goals" when they were willing to live within society in a way that would allow them to use their gifts and also blend in among those that were "non-super" folks.

The "I-Man" family had to:

(A) work hard as individuals to "blend" into society as individuals within the society in which they were living.

(B) They had to teach their children the self-control in order to function within that society.

(C) They also had to find ways in which to express themselves as the beings that they truly were in order to find personal fullfilment and to develop wholly as individuals.
