"Krockzac dumnie,"....that is what the Hungarians call my deaf blind friend, Nellie Zimmerman,..and the thought fills me with wonder that her story has been translated into so many different languages. I wonder in this wide world how a deaf child,..reading the story of this deaf blind American woman,..will feel about what he or she can do with his/her life? I wonder about how a deaf lady, sitting at her computer and reading Nellie's story, in Canada will react when she reads about the fearless hearing impaired Senior citizen, who went to college at age seventy one and made good with a career? I wonder about how other deaf folks, who have access to computers and have read even the book review of Nellie's story,..will redefine themselves in relation to the "little deaf-blind lady, who could...!"

Online,..I have certainly met a lot of people. Some quite strange.

I have met some folks, whose existense is based on what they can get for themselves and how much misery they can inflict on others.

I have met people, who ooozed Christianity and delivered something else.

I met Buddhists,..who denied themselves nothing, and their goals had nothing to do with "enlightenment."

I have met Muslims, who were indeed dedicated to God and not to terrorism.

I have met Hindus, who love their "beef" tacos,

and "Deafies," who speak foreign languages while they have never mastered English!!

I have met people, who cower over computers in their parents' basements while planning "domination" over other folks lives while they don't have the courage to come out of their own basements and lead lives for themselves!! And I don't mean basements of the subterranian kind!!

And I have met online some folks,..who are worth their weight in gold. Sippi,..I wish you well in your operation today. I hope that you face it with courage and with the folks that you love best by your side. Online,..I have never seen you present yourself as anything but kind, considerate and compassionate.

Indeed,..the vigor with which you seem to face your life has passed itself onto me as Nellie Zimmerman is passing onto others the gift of her life story...and it is going around the world.

Sippi,..you have shaped youself,..your online personality,..into a charactor in my mind,.."the basically good person doing what they must do against impossible seeming odds," and perhaps someday,.that charactor will live on in a story or in a book and then,..again maybe not. I don't know.

All I know is

"The Iniverse of the mind

Leaves the World behind."

Good Luck today,..Sippi!
