This is for certain pinheads. The Silver Fox is not the lady, known as Maya. The Silver Fox is my first cousin, and I will make no apologies for her. She has had problems since she was a little girl. She was asaulted and cannot help herself.
Just got finished reading a biography..that I stayed up and read last night,...like the protagonist of the biography,...I am going to "try a little harder in my own life!" I cannot get inside other people's heads and make them see what I see, but I can speak out and try to tell others what not just happens to me, but to other folks..with disabilities.
Sometimes,..I wonder,..however. I feel that I am fairly reasonable about life, and I seek out others..with the sense that I don't have sometimes and get them to help me make sense of it. What happens when the person, who is explaining "reality" says that the actions of the so-called non-disabled...are "senseless?"
Like my deaf-blind friend said when she was denied acccess to use the ladies' room in a church where she was paid to be the evening's speaker,.."There are some folk's standards..that you will never be able to meet,...but would you really want to make yourself..stoop that low?"
